Out-of-This-World Outdoor Furniture Inspirations

Out-of-This-World Outdoor Furniture Inspirations. Outdoor Furniture, Patio Furniture Inspiration, DIY Outdoor, Outdoor Living, Outdoor Design, Landscape Design.

Outdoor living is truly one of the best parts of the warm seasons. To help you take better advantage of your outdoor living space, I have some outdoor furniture inspirations to help you create an inviting oasis that your whole family will love to use all season long.

This outdoor living area combines a beautiful built-in seating space with a weathered-looking teak table and wicker chairs. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy an outdoor lunch!

A banquette accommodates lunch al fresco at a Florida home. Designer Andrew Howard sourced the wicker armchairs and teak table from Kingsley-Bate.

Isn’t this an inviting retreat? The back of this home is decorated with gas lamps, but the striped and coordinating chairs provide a comfy place to spend the whole day reading a good novel.

Marshall Watson and Kate Reid embellished the rear facade of a Bahamian retreat with Bevolo gas lanterns. For the pool's glass mosaic, "we spent hours trying to match the rich turquoise blue of the ocean," Watson says. "It's a definite resort feeling. You know you've arrived." The pool perimeter is trimmed in coral stone.

The 80-year-old oak tree provides the shade, and the dark green cushions of the furniture blend right in. Makes you want to sit and relax, doesn’t it?

Pieces from Celerie Kemble's Lane Venture collection furnish the flagstone patio outside of Bailey McCarthy's Texas home. An 80-year-old oak provides plenty of shade.

Teak and wicker work together to make this patio feel like an extension of the home’s living room, but this room has an amazing wilderness feel. All it needs is a fire pit!

Matt O'Dorisio created an elevated outdoor patio for a Lake Tahoe vacation home. The seating area combines contemporary teak with more traditional wicker. "It's like an extension of the living room into the forest," he says.

Here’s another example of the seating area and furniture choices blending right in to the surroundings.

In the interior courtyard, fig ivy softens a brick wall and a mature palmetto tree adds a sense of permanence to a brand-new South Carolina house. The West Elm sofa is covered in a Sunbrella fabric.

Sometimes all you need is an oversized, comfy swing to take full advantage of a beautiful outdoor living area like this. What a peaceful spot.

A weeping willow hovers over the water feature outside of Jill Sharp Weeks' Charleston rental.

The deep, gray-blue of these wicker chairs just blends so harmoniously with the ocean in the background.

This Florida vacation home's screened porch faces the Gulf of Mexico. Decorator Tammy Connor furnished it with an antique wicker sofa and assorted chairs that she unified by painting a deep, cloudy blue.

Here, an Indonesian daybed is the perfect inviting piece for this Richmond-area home. Afternoon nap, anyone?

Vintage textiles enliven an Indonesian daybed outside a Richmond, Virginia, home.

If you love retro looks, try this vintage 1960s patio furniture in a feminine pink and white color palette.

"I was driving by a store in L.A., saw this 1960s patio furniture, and screeched to a stop," designer Kristen Ewart says. "It's modern without being stark, and petite — there's not a lot of room out here." See more photos of this California beach house.
