The basis for the amazing DIY rope basket in this guest bedroom is nothing other than a dollar store laundry basket! Cotton rope is hot glued around the outside of the basket and covering the top. None of the plastic is visible from the outside. It’s easy to dye the rope if you desire. Just wait for it to dry before gluing to your basket. The final result is pretty fantastic!

These adorable elephant bookends would be well-received in my home. All you need to make this dollar store craft is a couple of plastic play animals and a few pieces of wood. Use your favorite shade of spray paint to give the animals and wood blocks a uniform color. For a glossy look, finish everything off with a few coats of clear gloss.
