How many empty shoeboxes are laying around your house? {I know I’ve got at least two in mine}. Well, those old shoeboxes could go out in the recycling can–or they could be turned into something else entirely. With that in mind, I’ve got some fun projects to share with you today. Here are 10+ things to do with old shoeboxes. Take a look!
1.With just the shoebox lids, you can make some pretty cool wall art. Just cover them with chevron craft paper {or paint them however you wish} and mount on the wall in an interesting design.
2. Cut those shoebox lids into smaller sizes, and then decoupage them with pretty paper to make mini wall art. See Crème de la Craft for more.
3. Also from Crème de la Craft, you can learn how to recycle a shoebox into a decorative shelf.
4. How amazing is this? Fashion this picnic basket for two from a shoebox, and then take it on a date to the park.
5. A shoebox can also be recycled into a fun toy for the kids. This is a DIY shoebox fire station from Glittering Muffins.
6. A shoebox doll house is another way to make some fun for the kids. Great for rainy day play!
7. Preschoolers love to play on a shoebox guitar. Grab some elastic bands and you’re set for an afternoon of fun.
8. Older kids will enjoy making a fancier guitar from a shoebox and decorating it themselves. Use a simple bread bag closure as a guitar pick.
9. Use a shoebox to help organize your wires while charging your electronic devices. See how at Country Living.
10. Cover a shoebox with fabric and other embellishments, then use it to organize all kinds of things around the house.
