The modern white farmhouse family room is really in a class by itself. The use of repeating rustic wood elements is what ties the space together. The gorgeous wood beams accentuate the cathedral ceiling and also tie the eye to the floating rustic wood shelves flanking the fireplace, and to the stunning hardwood floors. Modern white farmhouse décor doesn’t have to be all white! Wood warms the space as only real wood can. Don’t miss the black industrial sconces that light the shelves. They tie into the simple lines of the black fireplace and hairpin legs of the end table.
Open Concept Family Room and Kitchen
Modern White Farmhouse Kitchen
Continuing into the modern white farmhouse kitchen, we see that most of the space is white, but beautifully accented by some rustic industrial touches. The rustic beams still accent the ceiling, but industrial touches also highlight this gorgeous space. Notice the industrial pendant lights over the island and the unique vintage library card catalog added onto the kitchen island. It’s also worth noting that the cabinets in this space were designed for shorter people, and/or families with kids. I consider that a plus!
Galvanized Range Hood
A beautiful rustic-industrial galvanized range hood dominates the cooking space in the modern white farmhouse kitchen, but no one could feel the least bit bad about it! It proves that galvanized metal pairs up nicely with clean white cabinets.
Kitchen Island
Vintage style factory pendants light up the kitchen island. Talk about task lighting! From cooking to kids’ homework, everyone will want to work here.
Kitchen Island Feature
The black dresser at the end of the modern white farmhouse kitchen island adds character and a vintage vibe to the space. It reminds me of a vintage library card catalog, and I love it! Let this look inspire you to think outside the box when designing your modern farmhouse.
Dining Area
The modern white farmhouse dining area is simple in design, yet ample in space and function. The covered white chandelier melts into the rest of the space, providing an unobstructed view through the room and out the gorgeous window.
Modern White Farmhouse Laundry Room
If I could design my own modern white farmhouse laundry room, I’d want it to look just like this. White cabinets like the kitchen continue, highlighted by lovely gray tiles on the backsplash that tie into the decorative gray and white tile flooring. And of course, the farmhouse-style sink adds the crowning touch.
Laundry Room Features
Take a closer look at the beautiful tile on the backsplash and floor. Both complement the white cabinets and very light gray stone countertop. Black cabinet hardware completes the space.
Modern White Farmhouse Bathrooms
In the beautiful modern white farmhouse bathroom, the white cabinetry used throughout the home continues. Here we have a very functional double vanity that includes ample storage space. The tiled walk in shower features built-in seating for ease and convenience. But when I look at that modern black bathtub, I think I’d choose a soak in that more often than a shower!
