Rustic Christmas Decorations
Before we get started, why don’t you take a walk outside and gather the things that make for beautifully rustic art projects. These are things like pine cones, pine branches and twigs, berries, and other items that catch your eye. You might just put them to use with one of the projects I’ve found!
Are you someone who holds onto their wine corks? Here’s a great project for them. Use hot glue to glue them into a Christmas tree shape. Add a chunk of wood to the bottom for a trunk, and a large wood bead to top it off. Or anything else you can think of! This project is very forgiving, and can be made as large or as small as you wish.
Everyone who has kids has some kind of art on the tree, right? Here is a project for the family that’s perfect for the tree. Decorate thin wood slices with simple designs. Add a hole and a string for ornaments. Make your own designs with Sharpie paint pens, or try your hand with a wood burning tool.
Here is one especially for the kids! Let them make a Christmas tree with bow tie pasta! Glue pieces of pasta together, then spray paint them green. Save a piece to paint red, and glue it onto the top for the finishing touch. Try gluing pasta into a wreath shape as well!
Glue an assortment of wood stars, hearts, and Santa hats into an adorably rustic Christmas tree atop a section of reclaimed wood. It think it makes the perfect porch decor!
