1. Here is a tea light holder made from a green glass insulator and a rusty bed spring. The two together have a great industrial  look that is really unique.

2. By simply wrapping an insulator with floral wire and adding a handle to hang it from, you can make a lovely garden lantern like the one shown here. The bottom of the insulator is filled with sand, and then a tea light is added.

3. This insulator was purchased at a thrift shop for $1. Turn it upside down into a metal stand and add an old key {painted black} tied on with rustic twine. It makes an awesome candle holder!

7. Create a cool centerpiece from vintage insulators and a piece of reclaimed barn wood. The insulators are lit with a string of battery operated lights. Greenery and winterberries hide the wires from the lights.Interesting insulators

8. A pair of rustic industrial table lamps fashioned from vintage insulators and railroad screws are quite unique.

9. Combine a vintage insulator with a chrome shade for a modern take on an industrial pendant light. Love the clean-lined look.

10. A similar pendant to the previous one uses a spun brass shade instead of chrome. Which is your favorite?

11. For another garden use, try turning an insulator into a hanging planter for small plants.

12. Vintage glass insulators happen to be the perfect size for planting succulents! Small rubber “feet” were added to the bottoms of the insulators to help them stand. These would be lovely displayed in a kitchen window!
